Name : Ophelia
Eye colour : Red with black sclera
Hair : White; unevenly cut with long fringe
Nationality : Irish
Body type : Lithe; thicker thighs, but weighs very little
Outfits : Shorts and singlets + sometimes a jacket. Dresses for comfort and ease, since everything needs to be cut up to fit her extra bits anyway
Distinguishing features : Large bat-like wings; clawed feet; prehensile tail; short, black claws; small fangs; barbed horns; pointed (though not very elongated) ears; light purple skin, with wings a darker shade.
Short personality : Considers life to be a hell of a lot of fun and doesn't take sour moods personally. Won't hesitate to be honest if it's required, but doesn't shove her nose in other people's business. Confident, relaxed, and doesn't brag about her intelligence / observance.

Opie is genuinely happy with her life -- it's not that she thinks it's better than it is or she ignores the bad, it's just that she takes it all without batting an eyelashe and lives up the good. She empathetic, unflappable, and never unhappy to be interrupted by one of her social circle; she accepts them all with (literally) open arms, and is quick to display her sense of humour. Generally speaking, everyone is on friendly terms with her, but she clearly has her favourites.
Her level of patience can be ridiculously high, but she will generally just lose interest in the conversation when it's pushed too far as opposed to actually reacting. She doesn't see people through rose-coloured glasses, but she does accept flaws and fuck-ups without hesitation or judgement. When asked for an opinion she'll be honest, but she won't interfere without invitation, even when common sense dictates she should.
She has a great memory, and doesn't mind offering advice to whoever passes by. Outside of this she's very technically minded -- quick to solve puzzles that require a logical approach, and not prone to giving into emotion. She couldn't be accused of being blood-thirsty by any traditional definition, but is far from a pacifist in her mind.
It's implied that she was much more fiery in her youth, and old age has mellowed her -- she's definitely less reckless than her reputation says, but will still plough ahead without thinking if she's excited about something. Her speech becomes more rapid the most invested she is in the topic, although she doesn't talk with her hands and will often flick her gaze away to take note of other things. She's still impulsive and plays with tattooing and piercings whenever she's due to shed her skin -- just in case this time she finds the right combination.
Opie enjoys creation and destruction equally, and will indulge in both whenever the opportunity arises.

Strictly speaking, Opie doesn't use any weapons that aren't attached to her -- it's easy to tell when she's got a bad feeling about shit going down, because she'll start growing out her claws.
Her tail is thick, about as strong as it looks, and prehensile to boot. She favours using her feet and legs for close-combat attacks -- eviscerating and kicking come naturally -- but isn't above biting or gouging. Her horns are poisonous and will snap away when they're stabbed into something; her wings are flexible but not invulnerable, and she struggles to fly when they're damaged.
Opie has fantastic -- though far from perfect -- night vision, as well as her hearing and sense of smell being above the average for a mortal. Her reflexes rival Vlad's, and though she would claim otherwise, this is purely through practice and has nothing to do with natural ability.
By day she sells her services as a mechanical engineer to the mundane world -- it keeps her busy, paid, entertained and allows her to build a neat little network of useful mortals all at once. She isn't an active part of the war anymore; she paid her dues and fought her battles, and has now found her place behind the scenes, creating the birthrights that gods commission for their scions.
... Not that she's about to deny the slight wistfulness she gets whenever Vlad comes around and talks about his escapades, of course. She just knows better than to think his life would make her happy for long.

In stark contrast to most others, Opie was second generation -- her father was the direct scion, but when his powers didn't naturally manifest, his sire left him alone to live a normal life. He worked, grew old, and died in the mines, and by all accounts was pretty okay with never amounting to more. When the war came into full swing, Opie was drafted -- and remembering how her father had sacrificed everything to raise the family, she didn't hesitate to take his place rather than expecting him to take up the battle now.
She kept in contact with her mortal family until it was no longer possible to hide her changes -- or lack of, in the case of her physical ageing. They didn't understand why she had left and she never explained it to them, but it was still possible to just fade away and have them assume she had died in that era -- and so, she did.
She watched over them for a few generations, but has fallen out of the habit in more recent times. She had no real life plans or ambition before the war became the dominant factor in her life, so she was never bitter about losing something she had never wanted to start with.

Vlad
Vlad and Opie go way back, being part of the same group when they were younger. She finds his grumpiness amusing but won't hesitate to tell him to dial it back, and he shows reluctant affection towards her. Clearly, their is mutual respect for the other's opinion. They share a lot of history, and often refer to events that have no context. |

- Openly misses swimming
- Has been known to claw her way up walls instead of standing on chairs when something is out of reach, but tries to keep that shit under control in polite company
- Not at all bothered by the dark, but can't stand silence. Even when she has company, the radio is playing in the distance
- Pretty much always sleepy during the day
- Eats for the hell of it, but no longer needs food to survive
- Her skin used to be more vibrantly coloured, but has dulled with age
- Likes perching on high places and pretending she's Batman
